End of the Summer Events

There are two amazing and fun end of the summer events! Join us.


Minnesota Deaf Queers Beach Party



August 22nd, 2021

Noon to 6:00 p.m.

Deaf Queer Beach Party this Sunday the 22nd! A visual description is at the bottom. Let's enjoy the sunny and warm day that day! This is a Deaf, Queer / LGBTQ+, and ASL-centered space! There is plenty of free parking, it is bus accessible and youth-friendly! Bring your friends, chosen and blood family, and loved ones! Please bring your own food, snacks, and drinks to share! If you are straight/cis and/or hearing, and do not identify as queer or LGBTQ, we still welcome you! Although, please be mindful of pronouns, identities, and celebrate being welcomed into this space! Have positive energy, and if you can, bring snacks to share <3 We will be gathering from noon to 6pm on August 22nd, Sunday at Lake Nokomis - Little Beach. Minnesota Deaf Queers in the Woods (Event replaces Camping at Wilderness Way)

Minnesota Deaf Queers (MDQ), we got together and discussed camping this year. We decided not to go. Why? that campground that we have been going for years, changed owner and rules so we decided to cancel and look for a better place. We hope to have tha tin place next year. Don't be crying. We did set a End of the Summer Celebration. Saturday, August 28th, 2021. Fort Snelling State Park. Time: 11:00 a.m. until whenever. Need to bring your own food and drinks. Meet where? Shelter A. It is near water. It has tables, inside fire and also have grass space. We will get together to MDQ care walls, Crossnet Volleyball. What is this? It is like volleyball but with four squares. Fun! Hiking. Play games. Socialization. Arts and Crafts. Sound like fun right? Join us! Thank you!
